Exhausted

I've been in New Orleans, working with Habitat for Humanity for like four weeks now. I've done all kinds of work, driving a box truck (delivering supplies), painting, roofing and now, leading crews doing siding. I've done a bit of siding before, but today, I had 30 volunteers and I had Jan and Aaron to help me, but neither one of them had ever sided before. It was kind of exhausting, but at the end of the day, we got a speech about what awesome leaders we were, which was nice. I guess I felt like some of my volunteers didn't have much to do, because there was plenty to do, but it was hard to know if volunteers had an area to work in.

This round is shuffle round, so we aren't with our regular teams. River and Jan are on my shuffle team, and Aaron and Greg work with us two days a week, so I get to see them then.

I'm really worn out on AmeriCorps. I can't wait for the program to be over. I really can't wait for this round to be over. Just 2 & 1/2 weeks of work left. I hope next round we have a totally awesome project. I know it'll be nice to be back with my permanent team anyways. Being away from Aaron can be really hard. Working outside in the hot Louisiana sun all the time is really hard.

I don't have a lot to say. My brain is pretty fried from the work. I'll try to write more on the weekend, but I probably won't.
